Yes, Ottertail county has over 1,000 lakes that are full of walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and OTC famous panfish!
Early mornings and mid to late evenings are typically the best times. But with the daily weather and moon phases playing a role, bite windows differ from day to day. When booking with me on a fishing trip, I will give you my insight as we get closer to the day of the fishing trip to what the tenitive bite window will be.
Below are the statewide possession limit by species, per licensed angler . 2023 season starting May 13,2023.
Walleye- 6 only one over 20inches (I recommend keeping 3-4 walleye per person)
Northern Pike - 10 (no more then two over 26, and all 22-26 inch fish must be released)
Musky- 1 over 54 (although I recommend releasing all trophy fish)
Crappie- 10 crappie
Sunfish- 20 sunfish
Although the state has set regulated limits per person i recommend keeping enough for a fish fry and playing catch and release to ensure a healthy fishery for all to enjoy.
